How much does a website cost in Kenya?
With us, a business website starts from KSh 30,000 (up to 20 pages) and a website with an online shop and M-Pesa starts from KSh 70,000 (up to 80 pages). Across Kenya, prices run from about KSh 15,000 for a template to several hundred thousand for custom platforms — the difference is what is included. Domain and hosting are paid separately (roughly KSh 1,000–1,500 a year for a .co.ke domain and from about KSh 2,500 a year for hosting).
How long does it take to build a website?
It depends on the number of pages and how quickly content and photos are ready. We agree the timeline in the written proposal before any work starts, and you see the website as it grows.
Can I update the website myself?
Yes. Every website comes with an admin panel so you can change text, photos, prices and pages without calling a developer. We train you and your team before handover.
Do you build online shops with M-Pesa?
Yes. The Commerce Website includes an online shop — products, cart and checkout — with M-Pesa, card and bank payments, and orders managed from your admin panel.
Will my website show up on Google?
Every website is built with standard SEO: clean structure, fast pages, titles and descriptions, a sitemap and Search Console connected, so Google can read every page. Ranking higher than competitors is the work of Gain Traction, our three-month SEO programme.
Do you only work with businesses in Nairobi?
No. We are based in Woodley, Nairobi and meet Nairobi clients in person, but we build for businesses across Kenya — and for clients abroad, including in Norway.
What happens after the website is live?
Minor fixes are covered for an agreed period — most clients choose three months — and you get training. When you want more enquiries, Gain Traction takes the numbers further.
Do you redesign old websites?
Yes. If your current website is slow, hard to update or not bringing in enquiries, we can rebuild it properly — keeping what works, including your Google rankings, by redirecting old pages to the new ones.
