Apps & business systems

App developers in Kenya. Mobile apps, web apps and business systems.

We build the apps and systems that run a business: Android apps, web apps that install on any phone, and dashboards your team logs into — connected to M-Pesa, SMS and your bank alerts.

What we build

Software that runs your business — not just a screen to look at.

The best business apps are boring in the right way: they save your team an hour a day, stop mistakes and show the owner the truth. That is what we build.

Android apps

Apps that live on the phones your business already uses — at the counter, in the field or on the road.

Web apps for any phone

Open in the browser and install to the home screen like an app — on Android and iPhone, with no app-store wait.

Business systems & dashboards

Staff logins, records, reports and approvals — one place where your team does its daily work.

Integrations

M-Pesa (Daraja), SMS, bank payment alerts and the other systems you already run on.

An app we built · Linkaa

An Android app and a dashboard, working as one.

Linkaa turns the phone that receives your M-Pesa and bank messages into a live payment feed — so you, your partners and your staff see every payment the second it lands, from anywhere.

  • Android app on the business phone — restarts itself after a reboot
  • Reads M-Pesa, Pochi and bank payment messages and turns them into records
  • Web dashboard with staff logins, search, a review queue and an audit log
  • Built so that no message is lost and no payment is counted twice

Honest advice

Do you need an app — or a website?

Many businesses are sold an app when a website would bring in more customers. Here is how we decide with you.

A website, when…

Customers need to find you on Google

You want enquiries, calls and orders from new people

Websites from KSh 30,000

An app or system, when…

Staff record sales, stock or jobs every day

Regular customers log in, book or track something

You need alerts, approvals or reports for a team

Often the answer is both: a website to win customers, a system to run the work.

How we build it

You see it working long before launch day.

  1. Free scoping call

We learn how your business works today, who will use the app and what it must do — then agree what version one includes.

  2. Written quote & plan

Screens, features, timeline and a fixed price, in writing, before anything is built.

  3. Clickable prototype

You tap through the screens before we write the code, so changes are cheap.

  4. Build & weekly demos

You see working parts of the app every week and steer as we go.

  5. Test on real phones

Tested on the phones and networks your people actually use — not only on a developer’s laptop.

  6. Launch, training & support

Your team is trained, early issues are fixed, and a support plan keeps it current.

App development cost in Kenya

What decides the cost of an app.

There is no honest single price for “an app” — a stock tracker and a marketplace are different jobs. These six things decide it, and we price each one openly in your quote.

1Screens & featuresEvery screen and every rule is work to design, build and test.
2Logins & rolesOwners, managers and staff who see different things.
3PaymentsM-Pesa, card or bank — and matching every payment to a record.
4The dashboard behind itMost apps need a web dashboard for the office. It is often half the job.
5IntegrationsConnecting to M-Pesa, SMS, accounting or existing systems.
6DevicesOne Android app, a web app for every phone, or both.

Questions

App questions, answered.

See all questions
How much does it cost to develop an app in Kenya?

It depends on what the app must do: the number of screens, whether people log in, payments, the dashboard behind it and how many devices it runs on. We scope it with you on a free call and give you a written, fixed quote before any work starts. For a comparison, our websites start from KSh 30,000 — an app is usually more, because there is more to build and test.

Do I need an app or a website?

If customers need to find you on Google, start with a website. If your staff or regular customers use it every day — logging in, recording sales, getting alerts — an app or web app earns its cost. Many businesses need a web app first: it works on every phone and needs no app-store approval.

Do you build Android apps?

Yes. Linkaa, our payment-alert app, is an Android app that runs on the business phone and restarts itself after a reboot, backed by a web dashboard for the team.

Can the app take M-Pesa payments?

Yes. We connect apps and systems to M-Pesa through Safaricom’s Daraja platform (STK push, Till and Paybill), and we can read payment SMS for lines without an API — the way Linkaa does.

Will I own the app and its data?

Yes. The app, the data and the accounts are yours, and we agree in writing how the code and hosting are handed over.

What happens after the app is launched?

We train your team, fix issues found in the first weeks, and agree a support plan for updates as your business changes.
